Årets sommerfest afholdes på Raadvad Kro med indlæg fra Maersk Supply Service:
Wind Installation Vessel design
Invitation (på Engelsk):
Maersk Supply Service has designed and ordered a first-of-its-kind Wind Installation Vessel (WIV) that will make the Installation of bottom-fixed offshore wind turbines up to 30% faster than theconventional jack-up method.
Combining technology and method, the new concept centres on the company’s patented locking mechanism, which will completely stabilise a feeder barge in rough waters, enabling the safe and efficient transfer of turbine components even in high sea states. The innovative solution will utilise a purpose-built feeder spread of tugs and barges to ferry wind turbine components and foundations to the wind park site, freeing the WTIV to remain on location to complete successive installations. The use of smaller feeder vessels will expediate the portside process by opening access to a greater number of smaller ports.
The concept will be presented by Morten Poulsen, Head of Newbuilding and Frederik Smidth, CTO from Maersk Offshore Wind
After Frederik Smidth & Morten Poulsen’ presentation, the association invites everyone to dinner at the inn, hoping for many good debates among the members.
